Who am I?
I am originally from Massachusetts and that is where my love for theatre began and where the passion grew from a hobby to a career; making plays and musicals up in my basement and teaching myself how to do fouetté turns after watching Dance Moms were early signs pointing me in the direction towards a career immersed in the arts. Currently, I am earning my BFA in Theatre Performance and Production at Texas State University and I look forward to seeing all the future entails. Some other fun facts about me are that I’m a huge baker and I skied competitively up until I went to an arts boarding school at 15! I guess you could say that my creativity is never ending and is always looking for some project to get into.
Artist Manifesto
It may be art, but its core is humanity. It's a driving force that is necessary. Behind the facade of characters in the depths of their relationships, hardships, moments of triumphs and questioning, are people. As an actor, I am still human; pulling from the drawers of my life to be truthful, lively, and present through the range of emotions that are pulling me from stage left to stage right. Finding the authenticity of breath and energy so I embody and respect this new person. As a writer, I am still human; capturing the essence of reality in a world that gets crafted to be an escape or an invitation to introspection. Articulated through dynamic dialogue that evokes feeling and remembrance of familiarity or discomfort that is shocking and gut wrenching. As a director, I am still human; invigorated by the purpose of building clarity through togetherness. Working alongside all members of the team, instilling the understanding that who we are and what we do, regardless of the label attached, is worthy of the space they take up. That is the theatre and art that moves me to keep creating and that I hope continues to sustain its livelihood.
